Montgomery County
Emergency Operations Center
C.T. Male Associates provided architectural and engineering services to initiate planning for the expansion of the Public Safety Facility and the design of a new Emergency Operations Center for the County’s Public Safety Department. The project involved:
- Planning & Evaluation: Development of programmatic design options and preliminary design concepts.
- Design & Documentation: Creation of final design/construction documents as required for bidding and construction.
- Evaluation of Existing Structure: Thorough assessment of the 1995-built building and identification of program needs.
- Structural Independence: Design ensured new construction was structurally separated/independent from the existing building to avoid damage during natural disaster events.
- Coherent Design Solution: Crafted a coherent design solution that met the County’s building program and intended use.
The project navigated challenges posed by the evolving Uniform Code and created a structure that fits the County’s needs. C.T. Male Associates played a key role in guiding the design and planning phases to achieve an optimal construction outcome.
