Town of Queensbury
Highway Garage - Evaluation and Design
C.T. Male was chosen to assist the Town of Queensbury with the evaluation, site planning and programming, design, bid procurement and construction administration for a new highway maintenance facility at their existing site. The design included a new highway vehicle storage building, vehicle wash bay, salt storage shed, vehicle circulation modifications, stormwater management, utility work, sand/oil water separator, and pavement/gravel installation.
Additional work included a reassessment of other site functions to determine the best vehicular flow patterns and utilization of the site while not encroaching onto an adjacent NYSDEC Wetland. Stormwater treatment practices were designed to treat runoff from reconstructed and newly constructed impervious areas prior to discharging flows off-site. Nearly all disciplines at C.T. Male contributed to the project, including architecture, civil and structural engineering, MEP, fire protection, geotechnical engineering, wetland delineation, SEQRA review, landscape architecture, and surveying.
