Adaptive Sports Complex
The intent of the project is to create an adaptive recreation center to support the recreational interests of their clientele through the development of a facility dedicated to their physical, emotional and mental health.
The facility program includes an adaptive pool, court, climbing wall, gaming room, quiet rooms and locker rooms. The entire structure is conceived to be universally accessible and responsive to a broad spectrum of physical, emotional, mental and behavioral disabilities.
On the edge of the Adirondacks, the mission of the facility is to connect people to their interests and to open doors to the community through the active pursuit of adaptive recreation and sports training. The building concept involves the renovation of an existing vehicle maintenance garage and the addition of space to house the full program to create a modern and well-appointed +/-45,000 SF community asset. The facility will also feature an outdoor splash park.
