Hydrogeological Evaluation
THIS IS A DUPLICATE OF /project/city-of-saratoga-springs/ C.T. Male provided hydrogeological and engineering services to the City of Saratoga Springs for the evaluation and design of Production Well No. 8 in the Geyser Crest subdivision.
Key tasks included:
- Well Design & Evaluation: Conducted background research, scoped the project, and prepared preliminary and final designs for the upgraded/relocated well, including construction based on the established maximum well yield.
- Cost Estimation: Completed an Opinion of Probable Cost (OPC) for the well upgrade and relocation.
- Bid Assistance: Responded to RFIs during the bid phase and assisted the City in reviewing and recommending a bid award.
- Construction Support: Provided full-time hydrogeologic inspection and logging during each phase of well upgrade/construction, including drilling operations, aquifer zone testing, and gravel pack installation.
- Pumping & Testing: Observed and analyzed multiple pumping tests, provided recommendations for pumping rates for the constant test, and directed startup and end of constant rate pumping tests through drawdown and recovery.
This support ensured a comprehensive approach to the well upgrade and testing process.
