Emma Willard School Chapel
Renovation and Arts Wing Expansion
C.T. Male provided professional services for site civil engineering, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) preparation, geotechnical engineering, and construction phase support, as part of the Chapel Renovation and Arts Wing Expansion at the Emma Willard School in the City of Troy, New York. This project is a signature project for the Emma Willard campus, with the blending of historic architecture, the adaptive re-use of an existing chapel, and sustainable building and site design.
The project included site grading, fire access road engineering, utility engineering and relocation, stormwater and green infrastructure engineering, and geotechnical engineering to support structural design and general site drainage design. Also included was a green roof as part of the new arts wing building for which C.T. Male provided design input as part of the permanent stormwater treatment practices in the SWPPP.
Construction phase support services were provided by C.T. Male including periodic site visits, SWPPP inspections, coordination with contractors, and the review and approval of submittals.
